My name is Sean Miller. I live in Australia on Wurundjeri country. I have Gamilaroi and Scottish heritage. I am an artist, graphic artist and photographer.

Sean AirbrushingWorking in multiple medias. Carving, turning and throwing in wood and clay, to painting from murals to canvas. Ceramic art is my first passion. I find working clay with my hands helps me maintain a connection to my culture, where my ancestors culturally and artistically shaped and carved the ground and trees for ceremony. To shape, fire and bring a piece to life is an extremely fulfilling experience. My ceramics have been acquired by the National Gallery of Victoria and the Shepparton Art Museum for their collections, as well as many private collections.

Another of my passions is photography. I mainly photograph birds and wildlife. To get out on country with a camera, to capture an image of a bird or animal’s natural beauty, to enter into their world and to connect to the country that they live on. This helps me find the inspiration for my art. I enjoy creating artworks from my photography.

Recently was awarded in 2022 the ‘South-East Australian Aboriginal Artist Prize’ at the Indigenous Ceramic Awards at Shepparton Art Museum for my work Galibaay on Country. Also, back in 2020 I was awarded the ‘Emerging Artists Award’ at the  Koorie Art Show, run by the Koorie Heritage Trust with one of my artworks Twilight Flight.

As a Graphic Artist I am available to do commission work, please select for more info.
